In a 'local' bar one can usually find posters announcing noteworthy events in the area.
Those events range from carnivals and county fairs to garage sales and pie eating contests.
Because it's a local bar, not all of these events may seem particularly noteworthy to the casual outside
observer. Nevertheless, they play an important role in the lives of the locals. That's why we promoted our
Greek maniac Konstantin Grigoriadis to the position of 'town crier' (or at least 'bar crier') in the Malt Maniacs
Bar. Just like the 'town criers' of the middle ages he's responsible for keeping the townsfolk updated on the
current events. And as Konstantin explains, no actual crying is involved anymore in this modern day & age;
Hear ye, hear ye! The whisky world is becoming a global village and Johannes has assigned me with the
honourable task of keeping the global villagers informed about noteworthy festivals, tastings & happenings.
Do you know something I should cry about? Don't be shy and send me a message along the electronic
superhighway to the address below. - Your friendly bar crier
Konstantin. |

As you can see on the Word Wide Whisky Events page there are dozens of big whisky events each year, all over the world - not to mention the thousands of smaller events with a more 'local' focus. If you are aware of any International Whisky Event not mentioned on the List, please drop me a message at the e-mail address at the bottom of this page.
If you do find a whisky event you'd like to visit through these pages, why not return the favor to the global whisky community by submitting a report for the Malt Maniacs Word Wide Whisky Events Reports page.
